Today is Prickle-Prickle, day 49 in the season of Chaos, 3269.
Our office is closed today because all the local governments are also closed. C. called in to his office (which never gets snow days except maybe retroactively), and since three different people failed to answer, he's not going in either. I do have a little work I need to get done (and two concalls that I should attend briefly), but other than that I think I'll spend the day doing some housecleaning and puttering around. We dug my car out yesterday since we didn't know if we'd get a snow day or not, so that's one less thing to worry about. So far today I've managed to answer work-related email, clear off the coffee table and buy a reversible down jacket from the landsend.com overstock section (they're on sale for $30, and if I buy one now that means it won't snow again this year). Concall at noon for probably 15 minutes, then I think I'll try to get the living room shoveled out before the next call. Exciting day, woohoo. I figure since I had to get up at the normal time anyway to see if the office was open, I might as well get something productive done today.
