Aug. 24th, 2002 07:03 pmToday is Sweetmorn, day 17 in the season of Bureaucracy, 3268.
In good news, I think things are going to be okay. Much talking was done, and things and stuff sorted out, and I'm feeling much less hurt and angry. And we had a brief thunderstorm, which I've been craving for a while. In not so good news, I discovered that my car insurance was cancelled as of the beginning of this month. Did I find this out because they sent me a cancellation notice? No. I found out because I'd finally scraped up the money to make the payment and when I called to do so, they said "Oh. You can't do that because we cancelled your policy." They claim they sent a notice earlier this week, but I certainly haven't seen it. @#$%. So today is being spent hunting down the company that is only going to charge me a bit under twice what Geico was charging me for six months. Grump grump grump. Jesus Christ. One ticket from more than 2 years ago, the only one I've ever gotten in my life, is costing me $200 a year.
I really feel like I should write something of substance here, but I really just don't have the energy to do so right now. I'm so damn tired. I'm going to spend the evening hanging out with C. and then tomorrow I'm going to probably wander up to points north (although there's been nothing like a plan formulated yet). Oooh. I've suddenly been overtaken by a serious desire to go to the Aquarium. Can we? Can we? Huh huh huh? Okay, maybe not. We'll see how much energy I gather up tonight.
