Jan. 9th, 2002 05:24 pmToday's oddness: I got an empty box via the USPS. Well, not entirely empty, as it contained a catalog, the invoice, and some packing material, but not the actual items that I'd ordered back in early December as Xmas presents. The original tape was still there and unbroken, so I think it just went out of the warehouse like that. Grrr. The nice lady on the phone was going to send me the item, until it turned out they were out of stock yet again until the end of February, so I'm just getting a credit.
Today has been better. I actually managed to achieve mostly dream-free sleep last night after taking more valerian, or at least if I had dreams I didn't remember them at all which is good enough for me. Tonight I shall do some tinkering with the playlist on my mp3 player to get it to mesh better with the tempo of my cardio program, and either go to the gym or hit the treadmill here at the apt. complex.
I'm actually getting in the mood to go on this trip to Austin, although it seems to be somewhat longer than I expected. A week without email, wonder if I'll be able to survive? Better remember to procmail out all my mailing lists, or it will be another "go away for 5 days, come back to 1200 new messages" experience.
