"Office of Homeland Security" makes me twitch. I think there's something specifically about the use of the word "homeland" that does it, for some reason it makes me uncomfortable.

But it was a good speech, for the Shrub. He came off as much more presidential than he has been, but still he's not this century's first great orator by any means. It's terroR, not terra. (Wait, he's declaring war on land? Sna?) I don't necessarily agree with some (er, a lot) of what he says, and I'm not sure how Muslims are going to take to him telling them who's a blasphemer. I think the "you're with us, or with the terrorists" was over the top, and I'd have had a lot more respect for him if he hadn't gone on and on about the evils of the Taliban. AH! He compared his opponent to the Nazis. Godwin! Godwin!

I'm thinking that I should continue to help prop up the economy by going to see Sigur Rós on Tuesday. I'm really enjoying the CD I picked up after hearing several people on a.g. rave about them.

Had the beginnings of a serious conversation today where I outlined a bit of what's bothering me, although I don't know if it will have any affect at all. None of the previous attempts seem to have resulted in a lot of success, but hope springs eternal.

Monster.com hasn't had anything for me in the last 5 days, and I'm not envisioning the job market picking up a lot anytime soon. Worst case, Barnes and Noble is going to start hiring seasonal help soon.

$300 later, I at least know that my cat's medicine has been helping; his heart rate is down, and the murmur is noticeably decreased (from a 3/4 out of 6 to a 2/3). I still think a lot of sonograms look to me a lot like those stereogram picture things. I always feel like Willem trying to see the sailboat.

My brain is smoking, but I finally finished that @#$% PHP cart thing. Luckily Chris sat down and debugged with me until I managed to get the right key-value pair out of the original record. Damn multidimensional arrays. I think I might've been able to do this a lot faster if I could've just stuck everything into a mySQL table.
