Jul. 2nd, 2001 09:00 pmSomebody's little yippy dogs are having an argument with each other. But that's okay, since the only reason I know about this is because all the windows in the apartment are open. It was nearly the perfect day here today. Sunny, 70 degrees, light breeze blowing. Beautiful. And the forecast is looking up for Thursday for the Depeche Mode concert too, which is good seeing as how we have lawn tickets. Keeping my fingers crossed on that one, but bringing a tarp just in case. Either way, I'll have just had a facial and manicure and massage, so I'll be plenty laid-back about it even if it does rain. ;)
Other good stuff: I've learned some nifty networking geekstuff today. And I finally got C. to agree that probably looking to buy a place when this lease is up would be much more cost-effective than continuing to rent a place, especially if we don't necessarily look for the "perfect" house, but find something we can live in for a while. This makes me happy both because I'll finally get to paint the walls something other than white, and because it implies that there are no plans for the relationship to go poof if we can talk even theoretically about buying a house. Of course I magnanimously agreed that I wouldn't absolutely refuse to live in Maryland anymore if we did start looking for a place. But still, I'll check out Virginia, where I know the neighborhoods, and let him check out Maryland, which he knows.
I love that it's 9 pm and not dark yet.
