(no subject)

Gah, I hate moving. I'm wading through rent.net trying to find an affordable 2-bedroom or 1-bedroom with den, which isn't that hard. What's hard is the @#$% requirement that we have a freakin' garage so Chris can work on his car(s). Everything I've seen so far that offers garages with units is in the stratospheric rent range, like the place we live now. And then we have to pack, and hire people to help us schlep our crap to wherever we end up, and unpack, and figure out where to put everything. Bleah. And Chris seems really set on moving back to Maryland, which I would really rather not do. There's been nowhere in Maryland that I feel like I'd want to live (except maybe Rockville, and that has its own set of problems). The only up side would be that we'd be closer to our friends. The down sides (for me) are to numerous to list. Oh well. I told him that I wasn't going to absolutely say no, but that I'd definitely have to be convinced.
Two weeks before we have to give notice, and two months before we have to be out or else throw a metric buttload of money away on a month-to-month. My theory is that if I'm going to be paying $2K/month for a place to live, it's going to be someplace where I can paint the walls not-white. =/
