I'm having a Jay & Silent Bob moment... Morris Day and The Time! At the Beale Street Music Festival.

And *cough* Night Ranger. And Bonnie Raitt and Maria Muldaur and Cheap Trick and Pete Yorn (!) and Lucinda Williams and a bunch of other people. I think I should go to the festival, I mean visit my sister and brother and their respective kids and spouses. Yeah, that's it. =)

And there's Nick Cave and Billy Bragg and Siouxsie and I hear tell from a friend that the Oysterband have announced a date in Winnipeg, although I don't know offhand when it is. Guess I should get back on Christophe's mailing list.

Oysterband is playing the Winnipeg Folk Festival this summer. Yay! (I was planning on going to the festival anyway and while I've been a fan of the Oyster band for many years, haven't ever seen them live. I'm so excited).

Yay! Thanks for the info, I'll have to figure out if it's a doable trip. =) The Oysterband is fabulous live; wonder if they're going to do Edmonton again this year?

I've never gotten to see the Oysters live. And I missed (I think they played in Feb) Great Big Sea. Wonder if the Oysterdates will coincide with the tentativly planned Canada trip....

I saw him last time I was in England which would've been right before the first Mermaid Avenue came out, as I remember him doing a couple of songs from the album. It was a great show.

If you've seen all the other Kevin Smith movies, it's absolutely hysterical. It's a complete in-joke, although I suspect it's probably funny even if you haven't seen all the others.
