I was surprised to see that the 12:20 AM showing of "Iron Man" at Tyson's, from which we just got home, was sold out; can't remember the last time I'd seen that happen, it was probably one of the recent Star Wars installments. There was a line for ticketholder admission, and people were in it by the time we got there at 11:30 PM. (Chad, probably something to take into account for tomorrow.)

Robert Downey Jr. = good casting choice
The setup felt like it went on nearly forever, but overall I liked the movie.

The credits do go on nearly forever, but you want to stay through 'til the end. Yes, you do.

I impulse-went last night, and super-happy I did. Downey definitely is past whatever demons were going on in his life, he was -dead on-.

I did not stay through the ending credits, alas. They had the super-graphics credits, then the rolling credits. And at that point I headed out. Hmph.

But, all in all? Big thumbs up.

I've been looking forward to this for a year! I don't know exactly when I'm going to get out to see it (perhaps next weekend, when my mom's visiting), but I'm looking forward to it.

I figured that Downey was a great choice, first off because I've always loved him as an actor, and secondly because I figured he might be able to relate to the character....
