Note to self, things to talk about when more coherent:

- Polysaturation and where that point is for me
- Why I take my cat to a cardiologist and spend hundreds of dollars on surgery for a guinea pig, but can't usually be bothered to go to the doctor myself
- My recent, unexplained fascination with America's and/or Britain's Next Top Model (not helped by this photoshoot from BNTM *drool*)
- Sociability and shyness
- Indicator of really f'ed up perspective: using Rachel Weisz and Kate Winslet as two examples of "why fat is back in hollywood". Riiiight. "Fat".

Right now though, I'm going to try and get some sleep. Hopefully that trick will work this time.

I wonder if this writer ever even bothered to look up the word, "fat"? So much for journalistic integrity...

Oh, I like the concept of polysaturation. The more I think about it, the more I think I'm there. I did the stupid "jump at anyone who shows interest" thing for awhile, which was a stupid newbie move, but the more comfortable I get with my existing relationships, the more I like the low-drama ease of them.

My saturation point varies based on external pressure.

Oy. Sounds like I'm still in my chemistry class. ;-)

Love the shots from the BNTM photo shoot!!

Or bothered to go... to the dentist? (ducking)

And I think I'm there, saturation-wise... if not slightly over. Weekly scheduling should not require a triage approach...

Call you tonight from Cleveland?

(chasened look) sorry.

Combining the top two yields odd insight.

"Why Fat Is Back in Hollywood"

The title is idiotic and would have made the article somewhat less offensive if "fat" had been replaced with "curvy." This part, though:
As one male studio executive who asked not to be named says, “Do we really want stars to look like the rest of us? If actresses represented the way the public really looks, the mother from Gilbert Grape would be a sex symbol.” An admittedly unrealistic proposition.
is really insulting and stupid. And, hello, even if the public are getting heavier overall, someone like the woman he describes is still 3-4 sigmas off the curve. Moron.

Fat. *cough* um.. excuse me while I carve my eyes out with a SPORK.

Hellooooo reality. white courtesy clue phone.

Sociability and shyness. see also Amy's aversion to the telephone and how (she) can be perfectly fine talking to almost complete strangers all day on the phone - but pick up the phone to call a friend and possibly interrupt them from doing something really important... like flossing their toes or eating toast in front of the telly.

right.
