Air travel sucks
I am not going to fly from Dulles to Orlando via Pittsburgh. In what universe does that make sense? I suppose it doesn't matter much anyway, because USAir has no flights leaving Friday at a time that doesn't cut into the conference or put me back too late for the GBS show that night.
Why does JetBlue not fly into Orlando from Dulles? If I want to get there from here, I have to go to Newark first. :P
It's looking like AirTran and a sprint from Dulles to Foggy Bottom on Friday.
Oh, and cars suck too: someone just stopped by to tell me that my car is repeatedly locking and unlocking itself for no apparent reason. I guess this means it's time to call the mechanic down the street and see if they have some time to look at it.
Yes, I'm cranky today. Again. Allergies are kicking my ass, even with a bit of rain to clean things out a little. I'll feel human again sometime around, oh, July.

I found several flights to Logan leaving around 5 or 6, although I was adding BWI into my search and not ruling out 1-stop flights.
No, they haven't fixed the other stuff yet. I wonder if this is related to the need for a new alternator yet again. While it's there, I'll make an appointment with them for the rest of it since I know there's absolutely no way to get the alternator, the timing belt, the water pump, and the valve cover gaskets all replaced today. I suspect I'll just end up leaving my car overnight and hoping Chris can come pick me up, but I'll decide on that once I hear back from the mechanic.

Outside Baltimore, it's about an hour away depending on traffic. It's occasionally a lot cheaper than flying into Dulles or National, but not always. If you're coming in late on Thursday or Friday I could pick you up there, but probably not if you were looking to get in at 7 or earlier.

Heh. It's a Mazda, how hard could it be? ;) Actually, Chris replaced the alternator once, and that's why I now shell out several hundred dollars to a professional to do it as needed. It's apparently a giant PITA, and that's from someone who's used to working on MR2s.

If I left on Thus it would be an 8 or 9pm flight so that would put me in that area around 10-11:30. An hour drive at the time would be nuts (unless I did the driving). If you and C. have plans for Fri. then I can leave on Fri. night to show up later or something instead of messing things up by showing up on Thurs.

On an unrelated note, think you can pick me up Thursday evening and take me to work on Friday morning? It's probably easiest just to leave the car here overnight on Thursday so they can tear it apart on Friday, although if you think it won't work I'll just get up at the crack of dawn on Friday morning.
