"Martin Scorsese: zero Oscars. Three 6 Mafia: one."

*snicker*

[Edit: In the best picture acceptance speech, I didn't hear it too clearly because the music was coming up, but did Cathy Schulman thank "my husband and my wife"? *blink* ]

A rap group, singing about pimps? (shakes head)

That's what i thought I heard too. Almost as odd as awarding Best Original Song to something that apparently required interpretive dance in order to be understood. (I would like it noted for the record that Dolly Parton required no props or assistance other than that supporting her bestknown assets).

I heard that too as she was being cut off. WTF? I thought.

I suppose "best" is based on what the voting folks like to hear. Or something. Maybe Hollywood got turned off by the religious lyrics in Parton's song?

(Parton's bosom scares me, btw)

I really liked Transamerica, and while I didn't notice the lyrics, they made sense in the movie.

I find it mighty, glorious and inspiring, but I tend to think that about all of Dolly-I think she's awesome.
(and I didn't care about what anyone else was wearing, but I'm picture surfing to try and find hers.)

I was in the other room by that point, but that's what I thought I heard too.

Yup, I heard her say it, definitely. Woo. :)

[livejournal.com profile] tallin heard the husband/wife thing too. Wack. :-D

In news reports, she has since said she misspoke, that what she meant to say was "my husband and my daughter."
