Re-gifting

An article in the paper yesterday actually made me think of this, it is not inspired by any giftmas pressies that I am aware of. Most of my giftmas contributions were/are baked goods, which (other than bad fruitcake bricks) don't exactly lend themselves well to re-gifting even if one were inspired to do so.

I don't like, "Here, take my trash," but as a teacher, I get tons of gift I can't use -- scented soaps, etc. -- and Casey and I both have relatives who like them, so they get re-gifted.

I don't mind getting re-gifted or even used things if the person's clearly found something exactly right for me and it's a gift out of fondness.
