Today is Prickle-Prickle, day 59 in the season of Chaos, 3270.

I can see this is not going to go well: make small pile of stuff to go to Goodwill, pack three boxes of books and software, sit down in front of the computer to scan Livejournal.. At this rate, I may be finished packing by the time our lease is up...but I wouldn't count on it. In my defense, I'm starting with the biggest PITA in the house (the office) as far as packing goes, and the four hours I spent getting my car's emissions inspection and then at the DMV getting my tags renewed did sort of sap my will to live. At least it was a gorgeous day that I could waste sitting inside the mall at the only DMV outpost open past noon.

Starting with the biggest PITA room is a good idea. I always put that off to the end, and I always regret it!

When do you move?

I normally put it off as long as possible too, but in this case it's conveniently the one place where stacks of boxes won't be too underfoot. =)

Our lease at the new place starts on March 17, and the one here ends on the 23rd. We'll probably start moving stuff over in carloads on the 17th and get the furniture and stuff out the weekend of the 20th. And then we're done moving for the next 27 months, woohoo! =)

Actually I've moved once since I moved out of the Reston apartment; since it was within the complex, we mostly just carried stuff down the block as we thought about it. This is going to be similar I think, but slightly more than a block. =)

I'll keep an eye out for it, although unless it's in the garage up the street I don't think it's here. What we *do* have is one of those multi-picture frames with wedding (and other) pictures in it; I'm not sure if it's yours or C.'s.

Actually we just found a huge pile of posters in a closet, some of which are of unclear ownership. Drop me a line with the ones you're looking for and we can dig through and see if they're here. =)
