It does sound like fun, but I can't imagine that the poor little dachshunds do very well in Minnesota -- after all, the snow gets so deep that they'd need little snorkels and periscopes to get around.

Which is actually kinda cool if you think about, in sort of a geeky way...

A dachshund with a periscope - my grandmother (dachsie freak) will LOOOOVE that one!

I imagine similar problems might come up at a northerly basset waddle, but fortunately this seems to have been held in a non-snowy season...
