a little light reading

Today is Prickle-Prickle, day 11 in the season of Discord, 3168.

It's unlikely, but does anybody have a copy of the second edition of "The Benchmark Handbook" by Jim Gray and Rick Cattell that they'd like to lend me? They've got PDFs of the chapters online, but I can't read that much material online without going insane.


[And now, thanks to spookycam and bunicula, I am seriously craving a Taco Hell bean burrito. Augh!]

Heh. The burrito sounds better than my deskside lunch (can of generic Slim-Fast and a cheese stick), too...

I don't think there's a Taco Bell within 10 miles of here, so I'm either safe or out of luck, depending on perspective. ;) I'll just have my yogurt and my apple for lunch and wait for the craving to subside. And maybe walk across the street to Taco Hell when I get home. Hint - don't live across the street from a Taco Bell and a rodizio restaurant; too much eating out. =)
