I logged in to my yahoo account to fill out that form for Aquent, and discovered that the company with a web administrator position I'd applied for a week or so ago (which I assumed I was out of the running for since I'd heard nada) wants to do a phone interview. Eek. Never had to do a phone interview before, but I guess I'd better get used to it. Sounds like an okay job, very small office with a bunch of Unix types. Better read up on sysadmin schtuff tonight so I don't sound like an utter moron on the phone.

Congratulations! You'll do okay. Just be yourself, only brag a little and enjoy talking with the interviewer if you can. Get the interviewer to talk if you can. I've seen statistics that suggest that there's a very high correlation between how much the interviewers talks and how often a job offer is made. (If they feel admired or liked, they think you are smart!)

Phone interviews can be easier than "in person" interviews. You don't have to worry about how you look or looking anyone in the eye.

Good luck!
