An assortment of random things:

1. Happy birthday to

mactavish! (And apparently also half the western hemisphere, most of whom aren't on my f-list.)

2. This? This is why I don't make brownies more often. So long as I get the corner pieces, I'm happy.

brian1789 was planning to take me to Vidalia for an early birthday dinner. Apparently they had a water main break and are closed until Friday, so they switched our reservations over to their other property, Bistro Bis. The menu at the second location doesn't actually look terribly appealing to me, so we're trying Corduroy instead. I've been meaning to try this place for ages, so I'm looking forward to an evening of good food and good company.

4. Tired. So very tired. I got to sleep around 1:30, roughly an hour and a half after I'd planned to be asleep, and then proceeded to have disturbing dreams all night when I wasn't being woken up by aspirated reflux. I don't recommend that latter if you can avoid it, it's a whole barrel of no fun. Three nights in a row of little rest makes for an "interesting" day at work, let me say.

You can have the corner pieces off of any brownies I make anytime. I've always preferred the center pieces anyway. :-)

Yes, although that means I have to make two pans: one of those for me, and a more traditional pan for Chris so that he can trim the edges off and have a 7.5"x7.5" middle piece. ;)

He just needs a magnetic bottle in which to make brownies so there is no edge whatsoever. ;-)
