Eh. It could be worse, the original thought was maybe that the timing belt had slipped. They get credit for coming right over to take a look at it, and at least now I know why the spark plug wells were full of oily water. (Someone apparently interpreted "clean up" as "hose down the engine compartment", which isn't what they were asked to do.) They've got the car in the shop now, and if it's going to be a while then I'll see if there's a local Enterprise and rent a car for a day or two so that Chris doesn't have to keep schlepping me back and forth to work.
