another re-gifting question
For the folks who said that they wouldn't re-gift but wouldn't mind receiving one if it was thoughtfully given, why would you do one but not the other? Not that I'm making any judgement on such things, I'm just wondering why people consider one okay but the other not. *curious*

Personally, if I would love to have a mumblefrotz, and a friend knows this and gives me a mumblefrotz as a gift, I'm not really particularly distressed over whether they had to go brave the mauls to get it for me or they pulled it out of their closet where it's been collecting dust in its box ever since Great-aunt Bertha gave it to them last Christmas. Heh, if I really like someone, I'd probably be happiest if they didn't have to brave the holiday mauls for it. ;)
