Today is Pungenday, day 8 in the season of Chaos, 3168.

It's time for more ink. It's turning into the official "end of relationship" activity, I suppose, a way to mark the ending of one period of my life and the beginning of a new one. When I last got inked, I was worried that it would turn into an eternal reminder of the fact that that relationship didn't work out, but it didn't end up that way at all; instead it was something quite positive. I have some ideas about what I want, I just need to get them down on paper. I've got some time to think about it, as I can't do anything until I get paid and discover if my entire check is going to cover next month's rent or not.

"Got inked"? (clueless look) What does that mean in this context? And what would it have to do with relationships (outside of a movie I saw once called "Better than Chocolate" where a relationship starts with whole-body inking, then rolling on paper. But I don't think that's what you mean...)?

Heh. Nope, that wasn't quite what I meant. =) I was talking about getting another tattoo. Last time a relationship that was important to me ended, I got my first tattoo for a variety of reasons. Now that another significant-to-me relationship is over, I've been considering getting another one. One of these days I'll have to get one to mark an event that doesn't have such mixed emotions attached. =)
