Note to self for future cooking projects: when making whipped sweet potatoes with brown sugar topping, make sure that there's no chance of accidentally putting your finger in molten brown sugar. That's bad.
The best part is that not long after I finally got it to stop feeling quite so raw, I accidentally touched the oven rack with that same finger. I shoulda stayed out of the kitchen today, obviously. ;)
