PSA: "Name your own price" subscription to Paste Magazine

http://www.pastemagazine.com/
https://sfsdata.com/PASTE/PAGNYOP.aspx?key=9ESO1102ISO114 (the subscription page)

Paste is the first music magazine I've found worth subscribing to in a very long time. The fact that every issue comes with a free sampler CD has nothing to do with that, nooooooo. =) For the next two weeks, they're letting you name your own price for a year's subscription (normally $19.95). Can't get it for free, but you can technically get it for $1.

ZOMG

Pancake Mountain, the kids' show that is made of awesomeness and win, just sent out an email announcing the signup for their next dance party on November 9 at the 9:30. That day's guests? The Decemberists. Localfolks: "Sign-up sheets will be on the website Thursday, November 1st."

If you're not familiar with Pancake Mountain, hit the website and then hie thee over to YouTube where you'll find clips of some of the dance parties. (Iggy and the Stooges, Arcade Fire, X, MIA, and Deerhoof turned up on the first page of results. Yes, I said Iggy and the Stooges. On a kids' show. Performing "I Wanna Be Your Dog".)

  • 17:15 Wishing I had the energy to do anything at all for Halloween this year. I could dig out the Dr. Girlfriend costume again, I suppose. #
