I discovered this morning while paying my bill online that one of my credit card companies just upped my limit by $500. Lucky that they did, as almost all of that just went to the emergency vet's office instead of towards the vacation fund as I'd planned. Nibbler's got a very serious (i.e. life-threatening) digestive system condition and is staying there for treatment until at least Monday morning, when he'll probably get transferred to a vet clinic closer to home. And yes, I did just get back at 3:30 AM. Insert favorite expletive of choice here. I'm taking my raging headache and going to bed now, I think.

Nibbler's doing a little better. He's breathing better (he had a bit of a respiratory infection on top of the GI stasis), he's shown some interest in food and nibbled a little bit of hay, and his system seems to be moving again. He's not ready to come home quite yet, and we have to go pick him up in Leesburg sometime between 4 AM and 8 AM and transfer him over to the vet center near our house. (Ugh. This is me, sleep-deprived.) He's not completely out of the woods yet, but he's not getting worse either.

In other news, I can see my desk again. I was going to take pictures of it and some other stuff I'm trying to get rid of (unused picture frames, a CD rack, an old Palm Pilot, some other stuff) and post them, until I remembered that I don't have my camera back yet. Oops.
