crazy old cat ladies

A friend and I were talking today about the joys of living near someone, but alone. We've got the perfect set-up mapped out I think: we'll buy a multi-level house, I'll have half and she'll have half. We'll get a hot tub installed to lure fun people over when we feel social. We've already got at least one part-time houseboi lined up to come and cook for us and cater to most of our whims. =) And we'll each have our own space so that when we want to enjoy some solitude we'll be able to, but we'll also have a friend around when we want to be social. This...could work. :)

Talking to people in the last couple of days just reinforced for me that I have very cool friends. Yes, you know who you are, and thank you. =)

Took off this afternoon to go see the Art Nouveau exhibit at the National Gallery. There are some absolutely stunning pieces on display, including a parlor from Turin which is wonderful. I bought the brick of an exhibition catalog (luckily the other museums were closing and I didn't have to lug it around much after I left the National Gallery), which should keep me fairly occupied for a while.
