For someone who only knows me from a style questionnaire I filled out and my Pinterest boards, my Dia&Co stylist Margaret totally nailed it. I love everything in my box, and it included a pair of leggings very similar to ones I was planning on buying anyway. I'm tempted to keep everything they sent, but I will probably limit it to about half. Pictures didn't turn out great, but I'll try again later with better lighting I hope.

In my box:

If you aren't familiar with the site, it's a stylist service for sizes 14+. [ETA 11/1: The FAQ says "sizes 14-32" and on Instagram they also mentioned 5X.] You fill out a style profile with your size, body type, what your personal style is like, what sort of items you'd like to receive in your box, and some budget guidelines. They charge a $20 styling fee, which is applied to your purchase of any items from your box. Anything you don't want to keep, put in the included envelope and return within five days. There's no contract, you can get boxes monthly or just whenever you want. If you want to try it out, here's a link: https://www.dia.co/r/r5e

Good mail week: my copy of the new Dresden Files installment Turn Coat was waiting for me on the doorstep when I got home, as was my copy of Ravens in the Library. The day before, my Big Brick o'Shakespeare showed up (from an Amazon seller, who stuffed the nice, new hardback book into a plain tyvek priority mail envelope with no padding at all and turned it over to the USPS).

Louboutin pumps in today's crazy Gilt sale. *daydreams* I have fantasies of getting rid of most of my clothing and shoes and replacing them with fewer, high-quality pieces, but reality conspires against me. Challenge #1: finding flattering clothes for an apple-shaped fat chick. (Note to designers: no, empire waists do NOT flatter "everybody". They invariably hang, tent-like, from my not-insubstantial rack and get me asked when I'm due.) Clearly some of these clothes do exist; I've seen pictures! I just need to get better at finding them myself.
